Rather than calling Israel an ethnostate in the strictest sense, though... I think it's fairer to say that Israel has an immigration policy that aims not to make it's internal diversity problems worse. (Between the arabs, mizrahim, beta israel, haredi, atheist/liberal/socialist blocs and a surprisingly large illegal-alien contingent overstaying work visas, the population doesn't really have a huge amount in common either genetically or culturally, which produces all the problems you might expect. The core founding secular-ashkenazim stock were outnumbered a long time ago.)
It would be more accurate to say that Israel is actively trying to move in an ethnostate-like direction, in terms of both who-gets-in and a very slow process of internal ethnogenesis and ultra-orthodox takeover. It's debatable whether the constituent denominations would cohere at all if they didn't have so many common enemies.
I enjoyed this interview immensely. Yes, I know the facts concerning the State of New York's outrageous war on Vdare. But everything here is put in the context of 2026. And without a dull moment.
