The level of pearl clutching and white knighting on the "right" for a woman that would gleefully see them dead is bizarre but sadly too predictable.

The left loves it when someone dies. They use it for propaganda purposes. I remember this during the first Trump presidency. Each time an illegal alien died in our custody, the headlines would say something like "17 Year Old Guatemalan Dies in DHS Custody!" Most people don't read past the headlines, and it would leave the impression that we beat someone to death. In one case I remember, one of the aliens had a brain infection. That was probably why he came to the U.S. in the first place, free medical care. Health and Human Services paid for two brain surgeries to try to save him, but he died anyway.

Another time, Agents were transporting a group of illegal aliens from one remote spot back to their station over an hour and a half away. A young girl around five years old passed out. The Agent doing the transportation radioed ahead and had paramedics waiting. He floored it and got their as quickly as possible. Our paramedics worked on the girl trying to revive her but were unable to do so. She had been dehydrated and the father failed to mention it when they were initially picked up. When the father was interviewed the first time, he said the Agents were excellent and tried to save the child. When he was interviewed a second time, one of those exploitative open borders groups must have talked to him, and he said the Agents were incompetent.

They will seek to humanize this "Renee Nicole Good" with personal interest stories, and paint her as a martyr. This will help them capture the moron vote for the midterms.

Our founding fathers never intended a powerful central government. We should be governing ourselves at the state level. The south is not like the north but is forced to follow whatever the north decides. The central government sent ICE into a state where people support open borders. This would never have happened in the south where people want to keep a white country and where people know how to live around black people who are here quite legally.

Peter,

This dynamic of 'trickling the zone' has been under development for decades now and the pervasive reach of it cannot be overstated, nor can the damage such an underwhelming response causes, which is clearly the point. When I was covering law and order in Southern California approaching 40 years ago now, I was treated to the real cops of the LAPD during the Gates era, the deputies of the LASD that literally kicked the crap out of rioters from East LA to Isla Vista. I watched baton charges up close and in-person and witnessed out-of-policy choke-holds ('compliance restraints') being doled out on a regular basis.

The Left's long march through the institutions and professions included law enforcement and we are witnessing the result. The feminization and politicization of law enforcement is a thousand times more destructive to society than 'defunding' the agencies could ever be. Funding is restored (to the extent it is ever cut), but training protocols and institutional posture are much more difficult to reset effectively with corresponding results on the street.

When I was covering cops as a newspaper reporter, crowds would have never been allowed to form alongside them, let alone behind them in any proximity. Cops would never allow anyone to walk up to them at any clip and violate their personal space, particularly if they were going hands-on with another suspect. Anyone who tried to would have been placed on the business end of a nightstick or worse. Cops issued commands and they presented what was called a 'command presence,' embodying the stern but rational proctor our society places in our midst to ensure order.

Critical to destroying that very order is to eliminate the very essence of command presence, and thus the multigenerational infiltration and policy castration of police throughout the land now delivers its intended results. Instead of beefy cops prepared to bat .400 on the heads of shitbags in the streets, we're presented with 300 lbs police women whose job is apparently to deescalate and deflect rather than confront and prevent whatever means necessary.

Instead of cops swinging for the fences with nightsticks, we now have police tepidly holding their bicycles up in front of them, which is merely chumming the water for the real sharks as society waves arounds its iPhones trying to get pictures of it. Today we no longer deter the mob, we foster it and summon it forth, to scream in officer's faces

I've been writing for years that the fate of cops is central to whether our society collapses. At this stage, I think it is a forgone conlusiom.

Great column, Peter!

Hang in there,

~ Mark
