The question of wether Shapiro's pivot represents genuine ideological evolution or strategic repositioning cuts to the core of conservative media's credibilty problem. His 2018 characterization using the white supremacist label had real consequences for discourse boundries. When figures who previously weaponized such labels suddenly adopt restrictionist rhetoric, it raises questions about the sustainability of their newfound positions versus the durability of their previous commitments. The fact that he never spoke against lawfare targeting VDARE while now praising Tucker's immigration advocacy suggests brand managment over principle.

Writing more broadly here, I think the whole of what might be described as Fox News Conservatives have been mostly 'all show and no go' when it comes to the existential question of mass migration and its impacts on America.

Current and previous marquee personalities, ranging from Sean Hannity to Glenn Beck (he has called for 700 million more people in the U.S.) to Dana Perino to Greg Gutfeld to Bill O'Reilly to Eric Bolling (he has called for a 5 million annual legal migration quota) and Meghan Kelly and many others, have all regurgitated a boilerplate position that calls for increased 'border security' while ultimately accepting another mass amnesty and increased volumes of migrants legally admitted to the country.

While Murdoch's mighty network is indeed awash in relentless exhortations supporting a culturally and racially cohesive nation-state, it's not in reference to America.

It's difficult to assess what they in fact truly believe or what outcome they actually desire, but not one of them has ever been consistent in their assessment of the threat mass migration poses to the American national identity and not one of them has ever enthusiastically supported for any relevant length of time or with any material consistency a clear-eyed solution to that threat.

It's important to remember that and refer to it when they speak.

Ben Shapiro is Israeli first. He has said he doesn't care about the browning of America. He's a Neocon who wants Americans to die in pointless wars in the Middle East under the belief that this will help Israel.

Shapiro is wishy washy to say the least. He is just lucky that people have such short selective memories...ESPECIALLY the people in the U.S. I would not consider him an immigration "patriot"....he is still the media and still a Jew at heart.
