October 2025: 36 black-on-white homicides

One child killer jailed--but another released

Kenn Gividen’s research was the basis of VDARE.com’s ever-popular Month In The Death Of White America series. Because of New York State Attorney General Letitia James’ ruinous lawfare—“very suspicious” according to Real Clear Investigation’s Jim Varney—VDARE can no longer pay Kenn for his work. What follows is my analysis of Kenn’s data, posted with his usual punctuality on November 1 (but subsequently revised). My count differs from his by one, perhaps because I don’t include the mixed-race baby of Katie Carrig, burned to death in an apartment fire set by Carrig’s black Significant Other after he strangled her.

Kenn’s method is to include killings as they surface in each month’s news. This can mean when the killer is sentenced for a crime committed sometimes years earlier—often the only time a homicide gets significant coverage, probably because it involves less work for the media.

Or, in the case of Logan Tipton, when the killer gets released.

Tipton was six years old when Ronald Exantus stabbed him to death in a random home invasion, going on to wound several other members of the family. But Exantus, sentenced under Kentucky’s peculiar insanity defense law, was released on October 1, after serving less than seven years in prison.

He will, however, be on probation until June 2026.

Coincidentally, another apparently random stabbing of a white child appears in October’s toll: that of Julian Wood, 3, pictured above, killed in an Ohio supermarket parking lot by a black woman, Bionca Ellis, who also wounded his mother as she attempted to save him. In Ellis’ case, the insanity defense did not work. She has just been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. But her attorneys—who’s paying for them?—say they will appeal.

Also in October: another illustration of the U.S. justice system’s pathological leniency. A white man, Timothy Eugene Hutchinson, died when he was caught in the crossfire during a gun battle between two black men. (This was one of two crossfire homicides reported this month).

But, significantly, one of the black men, Deshawn Stafford, had served just eighteen months for the beating death of another white, Ethan Liming. I reported Liming’s death in June 2022, a month that saw 28 black-on-white homicides.

Several of the usual themes appeared in October. There are of course other white women who died at the hands of black Significant Others, for example Alyssa Paige Reardon and, probably, Rachel Counts. There are three carjackings, two involving Uber and Lyft drivers, obviously now a high-risk profession. There is at least one case of Road Rage. There is an apparent case of John Derbyshire’s The Talk: Non-Black Version striking again: Nicola Tanzi, beaten to death in the middle of the day in a New York City subway station, reportedly began the fatal interaction with his killer by assisting him with an exit gate.

And less common, but far from unprecedented: an example of the phenomenon that VDARE.com used to call “Disgruntled Minority Massacre.” Two German supervisors at a Tennessee plastics plant, Ivan Aldergot and Tobias Gleinig, were fatally shot by an American black while they were in the process of firing him.

A theme I don’t recall identifying before: four of the killers (including Kyle Steven Crandall, who shot the German supervisors) quickly committed suicide. This speaks to the extraordinary impulsivity that underlies so many of these atrocities.

There were two white-on-black killings in October: one gun accident and a San Francisco drug addict murdering a social worker.
